Allison and Matt were married this past October at the Mordecai House, a historic estate and popular wedding venue. This enchanting property offered the perfect backdrop for their romantic Raleigh wedding.

Love how the ladies’ shades of pink bouquets pop against their slate colored bridesmaid dresses.
Story Photographers did an amazing job capturing every detail and every moment.
The same pink roses that the bride and bridesmaids carried were incorporated into the ceremony with these stunning altar flowers and a sprinkling of rose petals along the aisle.

What a picturesque backdrop as Matt and Allison steal a kiss.

How charming is this?
Allison wore a beautiful vintage inspired open back lace gown with a birdcage veil.

Touches of pink where everywhere from the bouquets, to the cake, and even these breath taking centerpieces.

Thrills from the Grill provided the delicious eats for the evening, and the guests had a wonderful time dancing under the lit tent.
Congratulations, Matt & Allison!
xoxo,
Erin

Emily and Mike’s big day in October was truly one of a kind. This Chapel Hill wedding took place in a gorgeous secluded garden behind the home of the bride’s father. Between the large cedars and pines and the babbling streams this venue felt like a setting out of a fairy tale.
Makeup Art by Jenny did the bride’s makeup.
The bride and groom took some time to connect and snap a few photos, thanks to Jeremy Lange, before the ceremony took place.
The couple had a sitar player perform background music while the guests were seated.
This statuesque tree was the perfect backdrop for the bride and groom to exchange vows.

Natural elements were even incorporated into the favors. The bride did these DIY centerpieces of potted impatiens which the guests took home as favors at the end of the evening.

Mercury Band from New York set the mood for the reception with their music. A cocktail hour in the garden followed the ceremony before guests moved under the tend provided by Party Reflections for dinner.

Catering Company of Chapel Hill served a delicious Asian inspired menu.

The cake was an angel cake made by one of the bride’s friends.

How creative is this origami cake topper?

This bohemian inspired photo booth was a surprise from the bride’s brother.

After dinner, the wedding party and guests moved back out into the garden for an evening of dancing.
Xoxo,
Erin

Bay 7 Wedding

Jordan and Mindy were married in the heart of downtown Durham at Bay 7 this past September. Bay 7 is a popular wedding venue, as it offers a chic urban backdrop for wedding ceremonies and receptions. This turned out to be the perfect venue for the ceremony and reception of photographers Jordan and Mindy who wanted to mix fun, whimsical aspects with traditional elements for a memorable day that was truly their own.
The groom and his groomsmen all sported colorful Converse sneakers with vibrant matching ties.
Mindy and Jordan chose to see each other before the ceremony. This romantic moment allows the bride and groom time to connect before their big moment. Plus it makes for some really sweet photographs thanks to JAGG Photography.
The bride and groom found these vintage doors at an antique shop. Decorated with gorgeous floral wreathes they make the perfect backdrop for their ceremony. After the wedding Jordan and Mindy are using these in their home. What a creative way to remember their wedding day.
Greg Warren Flowers created these beautiful bouquets for Mindy and her bridesmaids. They are the perfect colorful contrast against the bridesmaids’ classy little black dresses.

When Jordan proposed to Mindy he first gave her a ring pop before presenting the real ring. As a surprise for Jordan at the end of the ceremony, Mindy had the ring bearer come back down the aisle with ring pops for both her and Jordan. What a sweet surprise!
Mindy and Jordan didn’t want a particular color scheme. Rather, they wanted to let their creative and fun loving side show by incorporating a variety of colors into both their wedding and reception. From the vivid bridesmaids’ bouquets and wild flower centerpieces to the eye-catching candy bar, pops of color were carried throughout Mindy and Jordan’s big day.

The idea of featuring several smaller cakes of different flavors with complimentary designs is a growing trend among brides and their wedding guests who love the delicious dessert options.
Bay 7’s prime location in the historic district of Downtown offers a great location for some amazing photography of this Durham wedding.

Keeping with their fun colorful theme, the bride and groom had a balloon send off from their reception.

Congratulations Mindy & Jordan!
xoxo,
Erin
