This morning it felt a bit like fall in the air, a welcome break from the heat. So today is the perfect day to post the wedding of Amy and Shawn! They were married at the gorgeous Angus Barn Pavilions this past October.

Thank you to Heather Swanner Photography for these great images!

Tre Bella did a gorgeous job on the flowers!

It was the most gorgeous fall day!

Amy was a ballroom dancer. She was so elegant, I was jealous with my two left feet! It was some of the best dancing I have ever seen at a wedding. So entertaining!

Congratulations to a fantastic couple!!

xoxo, Erin

Lauren and Bill’s country club wedding in Pinehurst had timeless elegance from the ceremony vows to the bride and groom’s reception departure. Here’s a look into the details of the day with photography courtesy of Rachel of Millie Holloman Photgraphy.

Many couples choose to exchange cards or letters to one another prior to the ceremony. This wedding tradition is a great way for you and your groom to focus on your relationship and love for one another- the whole reason this glamorous event is happening!

One very popular wedding trend we have been seeing is very pale bridesmaids dresses, such as the delicate pink bridesmaids dresses Lauren chose. We love that these dresses have slightly different straps, giving each bridesmaid a custom look.

Maggie’s Farm Florist created the elegant bouquets for this perfectly charming southern wedding day.

The couple chose to surprise their out of town guests with a North Carolina themed gift basket when they arrived. Stuffed with North Carolina favorites like Cheerwine and NC roasted peanuts, this gracious gesture was a perfect thoughtful touch.

Charming and classic, The Pinehurst Village Chapel was the perfect wedding ceremony venue for this couple.

Pomanders, a floral arrangement attached to a loop of ribbon, are an appropriate option for flower girls and junior bridesmaids. Pomanders are both easy to hold and posses an elegant look. These were provided by Maggie’s Farm who created all the florals for Lauren and Bill’s wedding day.

The Country Club of North Carolina reception venue provided an elegant backdrop for an evening of delicious dinner and non-stop dancing.

Raleigh based rental company, CE Rentals, provided the reception venue rentals.
Mason Jars are a popular summertime wedding trend throughout the south. What’s more simply southern than sipping pink lemonade out of a vintage looking mason jar?

In lieu of guest favors, the bride and groom chose to make a donation to one of their favorite charities.

Congratulations, Lauren & Bill!

Shan & Sam’s wedding day paid homage to Shan’s heritage with Asian inspired touches appearing throughout their big day. Their Sarah P. Duke Gardens wedding ceremony and reception was filled with bright, colorful touches that really set this wedding apart. We hope you enjoy these images courtesy of Raleigh wedding photographer, Craig Carpenter of Luster Studios.

Images by Denise did the bridal party’s hair and make-up.

Bold colors and touches of bright blue were sprinkled throughout the wedding day, from Shan’s blue bridal shoes…

…To her sapphire blue necklace and the dainty blue touches on the trim of her veil.

Even Shan’s garter was this same stunning shade of blue.

The bridesmaids were not without their own elegant blue  apparel. Choosing bridal gowns of the same fabric but with different styles is a great way to let your bridesmaids pick styles that they’ll love and wear again without compromising a unifying bridal party look. Would you believe this bridal bouquet is actually made of silk flowers? The bride’s grandmother crafted silk flower bouquets for the bride and her bridal party.

String duos and trios are a wonderful addition to any outdoor ceremony. In an outdoor setting, these musicians help create an ambience in an open space.

The bride, wanting to infuse elements of her Asian heritage, decided to use these handmade silk flowers centerpieces. Her grandmother in China made each flower individually!

These richly hued silk flowers perfectly complimented the floral pattern on these silk Asian linens.

Sugarland Bakery in Chapel Hill made this stunning cake. Look at the details in that cake topper!

Before the cake was cut, Durham catering company Sage & Swift provided a delicious dinner for the guests.

As a creative guest favor, the bride and groom used their couple nickname, Sham, and gave guests a sweet jar of “Sham Jam”. Personalized wedding favors are an easy way to incorporate elements that are unique to you as a couple.

Congratulations, Shan & Sam!
